The Kindle e-book reader has been taking over the book-reading world by storm as it is designed to perfection for reading novels and small paperbacks. Those who have used the Kindle to read magazines and newspapers on the other hand will notice that the Kindle is a diminutive too small for the job, intelligent many scrolling and page turns.
In the answer to that inconvenience, Amazon has come up with the Kindle Dx, a large 9.7-inch digital reader that is optimized for reading newspapers, magazines and textbooks. The larger screen gives a good reading touch for these larger print media where it is able to display the media in (almost) its customary size and form.
College Textbooks
Anyone in college or university would undoubtedly appreciate the functionality of the Kindle Dx. I wish I had one when I was in college. College textbooks are never short of 1.5 inches thick and very often, we have to lug them colse to with us. Fantasize being able to store all your textbooks in a 0.38-inch device.
So far I have used my Kindle Dx to read some magazines and textbooks. The Kindle Dx displayed them in approximately its customary form in terms of size and layout. If you need to zoom in closer to the text or image, you can use the built-in zoom function of just flip the reader to landscape. We had no problems viewing detailed images like graphs, maps and tables. To top it all up, the Kindle Dx has a sleek design. It looks literally good and feels even good to hold. At the time this description is written, the reader is retailing for colse to 9 each.
