Textbooks for higher instruction are exceptionally expensive especially when they are new. This is due in part to demand, as college students need to have textbooks for study purposes but also because of how publishers operate. Thus, a prudent trainee needs to be smart to find the best cheap college textbooks.
Most campuses have a second hand bookstore and depending on the state of the textbook will resolve the price. Sometimes you are able to find bargains but some of the books are also overpriced here so this is not the best option. You will also find that some bookshop stock is outdated and you may need one of the newest editions.

There are many ways in which to save money and still collect your textbooks. First, get the list of textbooks that are required for your semester as early as possible then go down to the campus bookstore and browse nearby as you may be lucky in finding one or two books that are well priced. But don't count on it.
You can ask students that have all ready completed classes, if they want to sell any of their books as many do so that they can buy their next set, or because they are graduating.
You can also go online and look for your books, as there are many places where you can save a huge number of money on new or used copies of whichever title you need. If you start early enough, you will not have to worry about shipping times, and even if you don't, the cost savings normally furnish sufficient padding to enable expedited shipping.
